“Lylee” is a blend of the two owners’ middle names and is a nod to them and their vision in 1991 to start the vineyard. This wine is a blend of Pinot Noir grapes from their warmer and cooler sites, and what a treat it is!
Medium-bodied and bright, but with deep, dark cherry and black tea flavors. The last time Timothy tasted this WINE, he said, “Wow, I could drink this all day long!” This is a GREAT deal in a solid Pinot! 400 cases made.

Folks, we have another small family business success story for you, another great winery that has been flying under the radar!
Located at the southern end of Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley, Brigadoon Vineyard was founded in 1991 by Chris and Sheree Shown, when they began growing and selling grapes, rootstock and scion wood cuttings to other vineyards and wineries. Because Chris had a decades-long background in viticulture and farming with his father (in Napa Valley), this suited them just fine for a while.
But then, their (adult) son, Matt, expressed interest in working together, and in 2008 Brigadoon Wine Company was established, with Matt as the winemaker! Matt got his feet wet in wine production in Oregon and New Zealand, and he was up to the task, which we can say he has tackled with flying colors!
The 15-acre estate vineyards, about 30 minutes northwest of Eugene, are farmed organically by the family, and the quaint, cozy, old-school tasting room overlooking the vineyards is as comfortable as they get! We think Brigadoon has flown under the radar because they are such a small producer and off the beaten track of most major Willamette Valley winery tours, but we can guarantee the wines and the whole experience is well worth a visit!
Production: 1,500 cases (avg) annually
