With a few years on it, this bold Pinot is drinking really well right now! We get a nice dose of earthy, savory notes (thanks to the ageing), blending happily with some ripe raspberry flavors!

Winery Description
-
In 1981 the original, own-rooted vineyards were planted by John and Lynn Albin at 1,000 ft. elevation in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The couple grew grapes from their Laurel Vineyard solely for sale to other wineries, and in the year 2000 they decided to start their own label and make wines under the name J. Albin Winery.
After their son, Andrew, graduated from Oregon State University’s winemaking and viticultural program in 2017, John and Lynn re-branded the winery with a fresh new name. With the vineyards sitting atop Bald Peak that affords a stunning view of five other mountains (Rainier, St. Helens, Adams, Hood, Jefferson), it was clear to the Albin family that the name Six Peaks Winery was a natural fit!
To this day the family, with Andrew as Co-Winemaker, does everything, from working and managing all of their estate vineyards, all stages of winemaking, sales and running the tasting room (that looks over the beautiful vineyards). A true family affair, for sure! Six Peaks produces roughly 2,000 cases per year.
