First off, 2010 Pinot Noirs from Oregon’s Willamette Valley have been tasting (mostly) GREAT for the past few years, even though the vintage was panned by the wine media upon release! This wine is no exception: it’s like silk in a glass, but it has retained an incredibly firm texture. The bottle ageing has allowed the more mature flavors (currant, mushrooms, black tea, fresh tobacco leaf) come through. We are VERY limited on this wine!
Try this wine with our Wild Mushroom Soup.
*L.I.V.E. (Low Input Viticulture & Enology) certification assures us that the grapes are grown, and the wine is made, with the most advanced standards for sustainability.

Winery Description
-
Sitting on 60 acres in the Northern Willamette Valley of Oregon, the vineyards were established in 1976, and Dion Vineyard winery was founded by third-generation winemaker Kevin Dion Johnson in 2007. With the goal of keeping things small, producing the best wines possible, and using L.I.V.E.* certified practices, we believe Kevin and his wife, Beth Klingner, are doing some amazing things! We love supporting good people with small, family-owned and run wineries that make great wines, and, well, here you go!
Dion’s vineyard and tasting room is just 30 minutes from downtown Portland, and well worth a day trip when visiting the City of Roses!
