This one’s a little light in the loafers, but she isn’t shy, flashing a good amount of dark cherry fruit, with a calming effect of some caramel notes from the 30% new oak barrels used. Goes down easy, maybe a little too much so? Nah…

This light pinot pairs beautifully with goat cheese and smoked pumpkin ravioli.

Winery Description

  • Sitting on 60 acres in the Northern Willamette Valley of Oregon, the vineyards were established in 1976, and Dion Vineyard winery was founded by third-generation winemaker Kevin Dion Johnson in 2007. With the goal of keeping things small, producing the best wines possible, and using L.I.V.E.* certified practices, we believe Kevin and his wife, Beth Klingner, are doing some amazing things! We love supporting good people with small, family-owned and run wineries that make great wines, and, well, here you go!

Dion’s vineyard and tasting room is just 30 minutes from downtown Portland, and well worth a day trip when visiting the City of Roses!
