This is one fun wine! Medium-bodied, with lots of bright cherry and raspberry flavors all around, and a touch of green tea and iron to balance it out through the juicy finish.

Pair this wine with Chanterelle mushrooms and creamy goat cheese

Winery Description

  • Located on the north slopes of the Chehalem Mountains, just 30 minutes from downtown Portland, Oregon, owners Steve Hendricks and his wife, Flora Habibi, purchased the winery in 2012 when it was under a different name. In the short amount of time since Steve and Flora took it over, they, along with winemaker Andrew Kirkland, have completely transformed the vineyards, the wines and the tasting room experience, and taken it all to the next level!
Ruby Vineyard sits squarely in the middle of one of Oregon’s newest AVAs (American Viticultural Area), called the Laurelwood District, which is a region inside the Chehalem Mountains AVA…which is inside the Willamette Valley AVA. Laurelwood is the soil type that is dominant in this small area, and you can really taste the difference! The view from the tasting room, which is right in the vineyards, has a spectacular view of Mount Hood!
