This is 100% Syrah, but sourced from two vineyards, one in the Applegate Valley, of Southern Oregon, and the other in the Willamette Valley, in the Northern part of the great state we call Home. Medium-bodied, but with some lush, dark fruit flavors and a meaty savory quality to it!

Pair this hearty wine with Smoked Brisket or black olives.

Winery Description

  • Owned and run by husband-and-wife team, Darrel and Molly Roby, Twill Cellars is home to one of the closest vineyards and tasting rooms to downtown Portland, Oregon. They planted the vines in 2000 and have been crafting what we consider some of the best deals in wine from the state (we hesitate to use the term “value wines,” which may lead you to think they are just okay wines that are easy on the wallet) with their winemaker, Chris Dickson, since then.
    We write often about our mission to work with smaller wineries that are owned and run by key people who are good and kind, wineries that are creating great wines and are doing good things. Well, Twill is another great example for you!
    And, if that’s not enough to convince you, make a visit to the winery to meet their Bernese Mountain Dog, Mica, and you will be as hooked as we are!
